Last Saturday (30 January) we were hiking in the Vipava Hills. The Vipava Hills surround the town Vipava in SW Slovenia. We followed one of the Vipava wine routs. Wine routs connect the wine growing areas in the Vipava Hills.
We started our hike in one of the wine cellars in the village Smarje near Vipava. Here we were offered home made pastries and sandwiches and severel wines of course.

The next village on our trail was Gaberje. In Gaberje we took a look of the baroque church dedicated to St. Martin.
