Kubed

In Kubed we had a break at the tower. The village Kubed has an interesing history. It was an important defense point in wars between Austria and Venice.

Rozar

From Tinjan we continued our trail to the village Rozar and the river Rizana.

Tinjan

From Osp we set out for Tinjan, a village located on top of the hill of the same name. Tinjan is known for wonderful views of the Adriatic see with Koper and Trieste Gulfs.

Osp, Istria

Osp lies at the foothills of the Karst Edge. It was first mentioned in the 11th century. From Osp - where we had a break and met some locals and learned about the history of the village and were offered original homemade schnapps - we continued our trail to Tinjan.

Before the WW II Osp counted about 600 people, today only 160, mostly old. Many houses are abandoned.

Osp, Istria

Osp is an old village in the Osp Valley, near Trieste. It is famous due to a rock wall raising above it. It boasts of 55 climbing directions in a horse shoe shaped rock with the width of 500 and with the height over 200 m. Osp is one of the most popular climbing centers in Europe.

From the Karst Edge we descended towards Osp. We were greeted by Mediterranean greenary.
